Dayspring of Heaven

"The cross of Christ is Christ's glory." Most people try to gain attention, respect, "kudos" by using or exploiting, even sacrificing others to their personal gain. Jesus sacrificed, exploited and used up himself for others. People seek badges, certificates of accomplishment, trophies, and golden crowns for their sake. Jesus sought only a crown of thorns, scorn, spikes and spear for peoples sakes. People think that prestige, power, prominence are found when they exalt themselves over all others. Jesus knew he was considered "a worm, and no man; a reproach of men, and despised of the people." [Ps 22:6] Jesus yielded his power, glory, prestige, position willingly by stooping, coming down, not regarding his glorious heavenly estate to be grasped in light of his love for stiff-necked, rebellious sinful people. When conquered - he stooped - yet in his stooping (though legions of angels stood ready to conquer at his command) that is what he counted as supreme glory!

Our great God has caused the Dayspring of heaven; from glory to stoop to visit us that we might through Him not visit heaven but reside their by faith in Jesus.

"Through the tender mercy of our God; whereby the dayspring from on high hath visited us, to give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace." -- Luke 1:78-79
